Privacy Policy
Top El Salvador is a travel-planning guide. This policy explains what the site collects now, what third parties may process, and how future changes will be disclosed.
Analytics
Only with your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 on topelsalvador.com to understand visits and improve our travel guides. Google processes page views, browser/device information and cookie identifiers; requests also expose your IP address to Google. This is not anonymous browsing. We do not send user IDs or intentionally send personal information, and advertising personalization and Google signals are disabled. We remove query strings and fragments from the page URL we send and limit referrers to their origin. See Google’s Privacy Policy for its processing practices, including processing outside your country.
Forms and email
The website currently has no signup or contact form. Messages sent through Facebook are handled by Meta under its own privacy terms.
Travel partners
External websites load only after you choose a link. The destination site may then receive standard request data and apply its own privacy policy.
Good to know
A few useful answers
Plain answers about the data the current website does and does not collect.
What data does this website collect?
The static website does not ask for personal information. Its hosting provider may process standard request and security-log data such as IP address, browser type, requested URL, and request time.
Does Top El Salvador set cookies?
Analytics is off unless you choose Accept analytics. No Google Analytics script, requests or cookies are loaded before that choice. After acceptance, Google Analytics may set _ga and _ga_* first-party cookies (configured lifetime up to one year, renewed with use). We save your accepted or rejected choice in this browser’s local storage. Use “Analytics settings / withdraw consent” in any page footer, then Reject, to stop future collection and remove accessible Analytics cookies; the page reloads to unload the tracker. Withdrawal does not erase data already sent to Google. Clearing browser storage resets your choice to off. If storage is unavailable, analytics stays off. Hosting services may use necessary technology under their own policies.
How can I ask a privacy question?
Use the public channel listed on the Contact page and include “privacy” in the first line of your message.
