Choose two main towns
Coming from Sonsonate, the road naturally passes Nahuizalco, Salcoatitán, Juayúa, Apaneca and Concepción de Ataco. You do not need to park, shop, eat and explore in every one. Stop in Juayúa for lunch and spend the late afternoon in Ataco. Add another town only if something there genuinely interests you.

One day
Enjoy Juayúa around lunch, spend the afternoon and evening in Ataco, and choose only one of Nahuizalco, Salcoatitán, or Apaneca. Add a waterfall or adventure outing only in place of a town, not on top of the full day.
Two days
Sleep in Ataco, Apaneca or Juayúa. Use the second morning for a verified coffee visit, local guide or pre-arranged activity, then leave before the route becomes another full driving day.

Ruta de las Flores is a string of highland towns rather than an attraction with one entrance. Juayúa and Concepción de Ataco make an easy first pair. Apaneca, Salcoatitán, Nahuizalco, and Ahuachapán are worth adding when a café, market, activity, or overnight gives you a genuine reason to stop.
Juayúa and Ataco fill a relaxed day. A short roadside or coffee stop can fit too when parking and daylight are on your side.
Ataco, Juayúa, Apaneca, and Ahuachapán each offer a different evening. Pick the one whose lodging and next-morning location suit you.
With another night, add a coffee farm, thermal spring, zipline, hike, or food outing instead of retracing the same road.
